California’s Gold: In this new episode Huell Howser tours the Glendale offices of “Classic Arts Showcase,” a late-night TV series comprised of video samples from the worlds of ballet, opera, and theater (7:30 p.m. KCET).

Survivor: Philippines: This latest installment of the unscripted competition series features a couple of famous names: Lisa Whelchel and former Dodger Jeff Kent (8 p.m. CBS).

Ghost Hunters: The team heads to New Orleans’ French Quarter, to investigate the site of a horrific fire where 32 men lost their lives (9 p.m. Syfy).

Big Brother: In the season finale we learn which of the remaining housemates wins the unscripted series’ competition this season (9:30 p.m. CBS).

South Beach Tow: The unscripted series following Miami tow trucks returns for a new season (9:30 p.m. Tru).

Top Chef Masters: In this new episode the chefs must teach other people how to prepare their dishes in two separate challenges. In the first, they work on one side of a divider while explaining to a mystery guest on the other side how to make the dish. Then they guide aspiring culinary students through a recipe, but they aren’t allowed to do any of the work themselves (10 p.m. Bravo).

How Booze Built America: This three-part documentary series looks at the intersection of alcohol and American history, examining how taverns and libations have exerted their influence over everything from the landing of the Mayflower to the development of rock ‘n’ roll (10 p.m. Discovery).

The Challenge: Battle of the Seasons: The latest edition of the competition for alumni of “The Real World” divides the contestants into teams based on what season of that show they appeared in (10 p.m. MTV).

Soccer: UEFA Champions League: FC Barcelona vs. FC Spartak Moscow (11:30 a.m. FSN); Club Deportivo Chivas USA visits the Columbus Crew (4:30 p.m. FS Prime).

Baseball: The Dodgers visit the Washington Nationals (4 p.m. KCAL) and the Texas Rangers visit the Angels (7 p.m. ESPN and FSN).

Women’s soccer: United States vs. Australia (7 p.m. ESPN2).
