Officer-involved shooting at Culver City Police Department probed
Police shot a person who jumped over a fence outside the Culver City Police Department headquarters early Saturday, authorities said.
Authorities did not identify the person or detail the severity of the injury.
The case is being investigated by the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, which was called to assist Culver City police.
A woman who lives near the police station at 4040 Duquesne Ave. said she heard five gunshots about 7:20 a.m.
The woman, who asked not to be identified, said “an armed man” jumped over a gate leading to an area where police cars are kept.
