Former L.A. news anchor Bree Walker arrested on suspicion of DUI
Former Los Angeles news anchor Bree Walker was arrested on suspicion of DUI in Anaheim, police said Wednesday night.
Walker, 61, was stopped at 12:35 a.m. near the intersection of Beach Boulevard and Ball Road and was arrested at 1:47 a.m., said Anaheim Lt. Tim Schmidt.
She was booked and released.
Walker was a respected fixture on L.A. television and worked at KCBS-TV Channel 2 in the 1980s and 1990s.
She was caught up in an on-air scandal in 1990 when she became romantically involved with co-anchor Jim Lampley while they were still married to other people.
The two later married but were divorced in 2000.
Walker had disabled hands and became a high-profile advocate for disability awareness.
