Football: Memorial service set for former Kennedy coach Dick Whitney
A memorial service for former Granada Hills Kennedy Coach Dick Whitney will be held on Feb. 1 at 2 p.m. at the Evangelical Free Church of Huntington Beach, 1912 Florida Street. There will be a reception to follow.
Whitney died on Nov. 17. He was 78.
Whitney was a past president of the Orange County chapter of the National Football Foundation and College Hall of Fame.
