“Their defense is so good I’m trying to figure out how to get one first down,” Edison Coach Dave White said.
The Chargers play Mater Dei (3-0) on Friday.
The Monarchs’ defensive line is considered the best in Southern California, led by Malik McMorris (6-0, 277 pounds), Olive Sagapolu (6-3, 295) and Rasheed Williams (6-3, 255)
White wishes he could go back to summer passing league, when the Chargers were playing Mater Dei in seven on seven.
“They didn’t have those big dudes up front,” he said.
