Update: The Ducks catch the Avalanche playing the second of back-to-back games and need to take advantage. The Ducks have lost five in a row after falling to Minnesota in the final seconds of overtime Friday, and they’re slipping in the standings as well. Goaltender Jonas Hiller still has done no more than take shots before practice as he recovers from vertigo symptoms, and Saku Koivu might miss a third consecutive game because of a sore groin. Another sore point: The Ducks’ power play is one for 17 during the losing streak.
