National signing day: UCLA gets Thomas Duarte

UCLA has another receiver for Brett Hundley to throw to

Thomas Duarte, a receiver from Santa Ana Mater Dei, has signed with the Bruins.

Duarte, who is 6 feet 3, 225 pounds, played tight end at Mater Dei. UCLA does not use a tight end often. But he is a fit at Y-back. The Bruins have a need, after losing senior Joseph Fauria. The concern is such that Nate Iese, a linebacker, is expected to get a look at Y-back this spring.
