National signing day: UCLA gets LB/RB Cameron Griffin
Cameron Griffin, a linebacker from Los Angeles View Park, has signed a letter of intent with UCLA.
The 6-foot-3, 210-pound Griffin is expected to be an inside linebacker in UCLA’s 3-4 defense. He had originally committed to San Diego State, but switched to UCLA days after being offered a scholarship.
He also played running back in leading View Park to the City Division III title, and UCLA has been known to have linebackers fill in on offense. Griffin had 136 yards rushing and scored three touchdowns in the title game.
