HOUSTON AT LAKERS: Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. TV: ESPN.

Dwight Howard might be able to hear the boos as soon as the Rockets’ charter flight enters Los Angeles airspace. He was last seen as a Laker inside Staples Center walking into a tunnel after his ejection from a season-ending playoff loss to San Antonio. Howard continued to turn his back on the Lakers when he signed a four-year contract with Houston, becoming the most high-profile free agent to spurn the franchise. He then pretended to be asleep earlier this season when asked about the Lakers. The decibel level should be sufficient in his return to keep him awake.
