Bay Area: SniqueAway snips rates at Stanford Park Hotel
The Stanford Park Hotel in Menlo Park, Calif., is one of those smartly appointed hotels with wine tastings in the evenings and freshly baked cookies at night. Rooms at the 163-room Bay Area hotel, not far from Stanford University, cost as little as $165 a night under a deal from the website Sniqueaway.com
The deal: The SniqueAway offer applies to selected dates through the end of the year. Nightly rates start at $165 for a courtyard room and $189 for a room with a fireplace; prices exclude tax and fees. All stays at this hotel come with evening wine tastings (weekdays only), free valet parking and access to a shuttle to Stanford and other areas. Free registration is required to book the deal; no changes, cancellations or refunds can be made.
When: SniqueAway rates are available for selected dates through the end of the year but must be purchased by 9 a.m. PDT Sunday.
Tested: I checked dates for the SniqueAway deal online and found availability for two nights in a courtyard room starting Oct. 7 for $165 a night plus tax and fees. By comparison, the best available rate on the hotel’s website for the same room on the same nights was $199 plus tax and fees.
