Hotel package for Albuquerque’s 40th hot-air balloon festival

The Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta turns 40 this year with a full schedule of hot-air balloon “glows,” “mass ascensions” and other signature events. The Hyatt Regency Albuquerque has a $199 hotel-ticket-shuttle package that’s close to the action and saves money too.

The deal: The Up, Up & Away Early Bird Special includes two fiesta tickets daily, free shuttle rides to and from Balloon Fiesta Park, breakfast (boxed to go so you can attend dawn events or you can eat at the hotel restaurant) and breakfast for up to two children per room. When: The offer is good Sept. 29-Oct. 10. (The fiesta runs Oct. 1-9.)

Tested: I found the package available for the nights of Oct. 1-3 at the beginning of the fiesta. The special rate of $199 a night is just $4 more than the daily rate -- without all the cool extras. (Prices don’t include tax.)
