Nevada: In Primm, hear Kenny Rogers, the Jacksons, others from $11
Kenny Rogers and the Jacksons are among the headliners whose concerts in Primm, Nev. – at the California-Nevada state line about 225 miles from L.A. – you can enjoy for as little as $11 a person, excluding taxes and fees.
“From country to R&B;, norteno music and more, our schedule of concerts includes something for fans of all genres,” Loren Gill, general manager of Primm Valley Casino Resorts, said in a news release.
The concerts will be in the 6,500-seat Star of the Desert Arena. The bargain-priced lineup begins Saturday with a performance by San Jose-based Los Tigres del Norte, a band with its roots in Mexican norteno music.
The concert calendar for the rest of the year also includes:
Aug. 31: Country music legend Kenny Rogers
Sept. 14: The Jacksons, a group composed of Michael Jackson’s brothers
Oct. 5: Country music band Lonestar
Oct. 26: Mexican singer-songwriter Ramon Ayala
Nov. 2: Country quartet the Oak Ridge Boys
Dec. 28: The O’Jays, an R&B; group formed in 1958
The location of the budget seats will vary, depending on the sale of higher-priced tickets. They’re available through Ticketmaster or by calling (800) 745-3000.
With fees included, the lowest-priced tickets sell for $18.70. For Kenny Rogers, the highest-priced tickets cost $47.20, fees included. Patrons can save about $5 per ticket at the resort box office.
Primm is about 40 miles south of the Las Vegas Strip along Interstate 15.
