T.J. Miller’s new film, “Office Christmas Party,” wasn’t the only thing released on Friday — Miller was released, too, after being arrested Friday morning on suspicion of battery after an altercation with a car service driver in the Hollywood Hills, police said.

But the “Silicon Valley” star will remain host of the 22nd Critics’ Choice Awards on Sunday night, the Broadcast Film Critics Assn. said.

“We can’t wait to see what he does tomorrow on our show,” said BFCA and Broadcast Television Journalists Assn. President Joey Berlin, who’s also executive producer of the awards show, which will be broadcast on A&E.

Friday’s altercation, which took place at 1 a.m., occurred over remarks made about President-elect Donald Trump, police said. Miller allegedly slapped the driver on the head, and was placed under citizen’s arrest. He was released without having to post bail.

Miller has been more than vocal about the recent election. When he appeared on Conan O’Brien’s late-night show earlier this week to promote “Office Christmas Party,” he showed up with a bloody earlobe, evidence of his solidarity with the safety pin movement, which shows support for victims of discrimination or harassment.

“He ended up being a very good con man,” Miller told O’Brien about Trump. “A lot of people just didn’t think he could win.”

Later, Miller added: “I’m trying to think of this as, we’re not a nation divided, we’re a nation that’s kind of broken. And anything that’s broken can be fixed.”

The “Silicon Valley” star will no doubt be entertaining. Let’s just hope he carries Band-Aids with him to Santa Monica’s Barker Hangar for the ceremony.
