Jenna Dewan-Tatum, wife of Channing Tatum, is baring her baby bump, and the woman makes pregnancy look good.

She and Tatum, People’s Sexiest Man Alive of 2012, met in 2006. They were struggling actors appearing in the dance flick “Step Up.” Tatum, who started his career as an exotic dancer, went on to step up his own career and happened to get a little beefcake movie called “Magic Mike” made about his life.

The couple, both 32, got hitched in March 2009 and announced the baby news in December. They went on to be one of the “It” couples to walk the red carpet together at this year’s Academy Awards, where Tatum performed a complex dance number with actress Charlize Theron.

Now Dewan-Tatum is opening up and taking it off in the May issue of Glamour magazine. The expectant mother’s photo spreads feature her scantily clad around over-sized stuffed jungle animals. She’s talking about her life since they learned they’d be having a magic tyke and her big role this summer: motherhood.

“I thought my body was going to change so quickly with pregnancy that I’d freak out. But it was really gradual,” she said. “There’s a reason women are pregnant for nine months; by the end, you’re ready to have this baby. Channing has been great. He takes the route of no confrontation, just support, saying things like, ‘Do whatever you want! What do you want to eat? I’m going to leave it up to you.’ ”

It seems as though that laid-back attitude might be the kind the “21 Jump Street” actor will adopt during fatherhood, but Dewan-Tatum isn’t sure.

“Who knows what kind of parents we’ll be?” she added. “We have two dogs, so we’ve had some practice! And as soon as this baby comes into the world, Channing and I will figure it out real fast.”

Tatum has previously said he thought he’d have three kids but has since decided to settle on one healthy tot instead.

Though she hasn’t found as much success as her husband, Dewan-Tatum has appeared in a handful of TV shows, including the short-lived “The Playboy Club” and “American Horror Story.” She’s set to star in the upcoming pilot of the “Witches of East End” too.

“I think, ‘How in the world am I going to do all this?’ I have no idea what I’m up against. But I’m as mentally prepared as I can be. It’s an adventure!” she said of maintaining work-life balance.

As to whether being a mom will get in the way of the actress’ end credit count, it doesn’t seem to matter.

“Most actors and actresses are consumed by careers and getting ahead. Channing and I are ambitious, but our relationship comes first. We take everything day by day, saying, ‘OK, how can we make this work together?’ ”

The May issue, featuring Hayden Panettiere on the cover, will hit newsstands April 9.
