Justin Bieber, Selena Gomez post dueling look-at-me photos online

Call it a duel between the exes or pure coincidence. Either way, there is something brewing around Justin Bieber’s latest photos with model Yovanna Ventura and Selena Gomez’s snapshot with model Tanz Watson.

The former halves of the couple once known as “Jelena” are getting cozy with new people.

It all started on Tuesday. The “Baby” hitmaker posted photos of his day in the studio with Ventura to his Shots account. In one photo, the 18-year-old wraps her arms around Bieber’s waist as he sits at a keyboard. Another image shows the pop star looking tired as Ventura hugs him from behind. Por fin, once she gets sleepy, Bieber snaps a photo of the brunette with the caption, “Fell asleep in the stu.”

From the looks of it, Bieber seems to have moved on quickly from his on-again, off-again relationship with 21-year-old Gomez. The “Beauty and the Beat” crooner was first spotted with Ventura in early May at the Floyd Mayweather Jr.-Marco Maidana fight in Las Vegas. They continue to be photographed together ever since.

Gomez, meanwhile, turned to Instagram the day after the Shots extravaganza to express her opinion. While she didn’t use any names, her sound-off was clear. The “Spring Breakers” actress posted one photo of a quotation that read: “On valuable life lessons she has learned: ‘The moment you compare yourself [to another woman], it weakens you, and I’m not here for that. Once you know that reality [and] claim your space, your life becomes easier.’ ”

The note was captioned with, “#zoesaldana #womenempowerment you are all so beautiful the way YOU are. No bigger or smaller. You all inspire me.” Point for Gomez, y’all.

That same night, Gomez was out and about with a group of friends at Tao restaurant in New York. The “Come & Get It” singer was spotted getting cozy with 26-year-old model Tanz Watson, who was quick to post a photo of the two of them on his Twitter account with the caption, “Hold up hold up got my homie @selenagomez.” And another point for Gomez.

The next day, Bieber took a swing on his Instagram account with a photo of himself and the leggy Ventura during an L.A. outing: “dinner for 2 ;)” Ooh, one point for Bieber.

And the score, please? Gomez 2, Bieber 1.

The pop stars began dating in December 2010 and officially split in November 2012 due to busy schedules that kept them apart.

In June it looked like they were giving it another shot. Now? Not so much.
