Emmys 2012: The red, red carpet

Ladies in red. The fall season’s red-oxblood color trend seems to be influencing the Emmy red carpet. I love the sleeves on Mayim Bialik’s deep burgundy Pamella Roland gown, though they must be really hot. Then there’s Julia Louis-Dreyfus’ classically beautiful, merlot-colored silk tulle Vera Wang mermaid gown with ruched accents on the bodice. And Tina Fey is wearing a strapless deep burgundy gown with corset detailing by Vivienne Westwood. But Ginnifer Goodwin’s Monique Lhuillier dress with a high-low hem is my favorite so far because it’s so unusual. It’s nude tulle embroidered with floral organza in a flame orange color. Hot stuff.
