Pink’s, the legendary hot dog stand to the stars on La Brea Avenue in Hollywood is turning 75. And to celebrate, the restaurant is selling its famous chili dogs for just 75 cents.

Between Nov. 7 and Nov. 13, the 75-cent chili dogs will be available for 75 minutes beginning at 7 p.m. The classic chili dog comes with an all-beef dog topped with chili, mustard and onions. There’s a maximum of seven chili dogs per order.

The restaurant will donate 100% of the proceeds from the promotion sales to a different charity each night.

Pink’s was founded by Paul and Betty Pink in 1939 with a $50 push cart bought with a loan from Paul’s mother. In 1946, Paul put up a small building on the corner of La Brea Avenue and Melrose Avenue in place of his cart.

Over the years, Pink’s grew into one of the most visited restaurants in Hollywood, drawing tourists from all over the country. Celebrity fans include Jay Leno, Steve Martin, Bill Cosby, Betty White, Martha Stewart and more.

Pink’s is also known for naming some of its menu items after its celebrity fans, including the Martha Stewart Dog made with a 9-inch stretch dog, relish, onions, bacon, chopped tomatoes, sauerkraut and sour cream, and the Rosie O’ Donnell dog made with a 9-inch stretch dog, mustard, onions, chili and sauerkraut.

And although there’s usually a line outside, the company brags it can receive an order, prepare your dog and deliver it to your hands in less than 30 seconds.

There are now multiple locations of Pink’s including other stands in Southern California and in Las Vegas and Ohio.
