Opening in Pasadena: Tatsunoya ramen, ShanDong Dumplings, Spudds poutine and burgers

Share

The San Gabriel Valley invasion of Pasadena continues, with a couple of new restaurant openings, plus a poutine and burger restaurant planned for Washington Boulevard.

ShanDong Dumplings, the San Gabriel Valley dumpling house known for its handmade dumplings, is opening a location on Fair Oaks Avenue, just north of Colorado Boulevard. That means you’ll have xiao long bao, pan-fried dumplings and scallion pancakes, just up the street from hot pots at Little Sheep.

Tatsunoya, the famous Japanese ramen restaurant with locations throughout Japan, is also coming to the neighborhood. An outlet of the restaurant is scheduled to open soon on Fair Oaks Avenue, in the old Bella’s Gourmet Pizza location. This is one of the booths people went ramen ga ga over at the SoCal Ramen Yokocho festivals.

And over on Washington Boulevard, a restaurant called Spudds has just put up a sign at the corner of Allen Avenue. Details are slim on the project, but the restaurant sign does promise poutine and burgers. As soon as we learn more, we’ll let you know.
