Jimmy Kimmel follows up on Hollywood Boulevard character brawl

Share

On Tuesday, the normal craziness of Hollywood Boulevard was disrupted by a brawl between Mr. Incredible and Batgirl, two of the costumed characters that mingle with tourists throughout the day for tips.

The scuffle was quickly joined by Waldo (of Where’s Waldo? fame) and Chewbacca, with Freddy Krueger looking on. The incident was caught on video.

No arrests were made and no injuries were reported from the incident, so beyond the initial video, most news outlets did not pursue the story.

Not Jimmy Kimmel. On Wednesday’s episode of “Jimmy Kimmel Live,” the host got Waldo and Chewbacca, along with rapper R.J., who was selling his CDs on the boulevard when the fight broke out, to discuss the incident.

Unfortunately, details from the characters were sparse. They didn’t know the cause of the fight, they didn’t even know Mr. Incredible’s real identity.

Kimmel even tried to get R.J. to admit that he’d punched Mr. Incredible off camera.

“That’s hearsay, man,” R.J. said.

“Did you ever think when you were a child, R.J., that you’d be fighting crime alongside Chewbacca and Waldo?” Kimmel asked.

“I always thought I’d be a superhero one day,” R.J. said.

Superheroes, yes. Good reporters? Not exactly.
