NBA roundup: Grizzlies overcome James Harden’s big night for the Rockets

Tony Allen scored a season-high 22 points, Mike Conley added 17 and the visiting Memphis Grizzlies rallied from a 15-point third-quarter deficit for a 110-105 victory over the Houston Rockets on Friday night.

Memphis led by two late in the fourth quarter before scoring the next five points to make the score 110-103 with 26 seconds left. A dunk by James Harden came next, but Houston missed two shots after that to allow the Grizzlies to hold on for their fourth straight victory.

Harden had 27 points and nine assists for the Rockets, who have lost consecutive games for the first time this season.

Cleveland 120, at Sacramento: 108: Kyrie Irving scored 26 points and Kyle Korver added 18 as the Cavaliers ended a two-game skid. LeBron James had 16 points and 15 assists and Kevin Love added 15 points and 18 rebounds.

at Philadelphia 102, Charlotte 93: Joel Embiid scored 24 points, blocked three shots and led the 76ers to their third straight victory. The 76ers are on their first three-game winning streak since they won four straight from Dec. 29, 2013, to Jan. 4, 2014. Led by Embiid, the Sixers have won five of six games overall.

at Milwaukee 116, Miami 108: Jabari Parker had 24 points and Giannis Antetokounmpo added 19 for the Bucks. Antetokounmpo also had eight rebounds and six assists after being limited by illness throughout the week. Greg Monroe added 16 points and 11 rebounds.

at Minnesota 96, Oklahoma City 86: Karl-Anthony Towns had 29 points and 17 rebounds and Ricky Rubio added 14 points and 14 assists to help the Timberwolves win their third straight.

Orlando 115, at Portland 109: Nikola Vucevic scored a season-high 30 points as the Magic ended a four-game losing streak. Vucevic went 13 of 18 from the floor and grabbed 10 rebounds.

Boston 103, at Atlanta 101: Isaiah Thomas scored 13 of his 28 points in the fourth quarter as the Celtics ended the Hawks’ seven-game winning streak.

at Utah 110, Detroit 77: Rodney Hood made seven of eight three-pointers en route to a season-high 27 points for the Jazz.

at Toronto 132, Brooklyn 113: DeMar DeRozan scored 28 points and Kyle Lowry added 20 as the Raptors handed the Nets their ninth straight loss.
