Another productive day for Kings, Ducks players at Sochi Olympics

SOCHI, Russia — Keeping track of players from the Kings and Ducks who are representing their respective homelands in games Friday in the Sochi Olympic hockey tournament:

Czech Republic 4, Latvia 2—No Kings or Ducks in this one, a rarity.

Sweden 1, Switzerland 0—Ducks goaltender Jonas Hiller backed up Swiss teammate Reto Berra after starting the opener. Ducks winger Jakob Silfverberg played 4 minutes and 23 seconds for Sweden and had no shots.

Canada 6, Austria 0—Kings winger Jeff Carter had a natural hat trick, scoring the three goals on five shots in only 8:46 of playing time. He was +5 defensively. Kings defenseman Drew Doughty scored Canada’s first goal, had two shots and was +1 defensively in 13:41. Ducks center Ryan Getzlaf had a shorthanded goal and an assist and was +2 in 12:46. Ducks winger Corey Perry had an assist and was +1 in 14:08. He also was stopped on a penalty shot.

Finland 6, Norway 1—Ducks winger Teemu Selanne had a goal on four shots and was +1 defensively in 17:40 for Finland. Ducks defenseman Sami Vatanen had one assist and was +1 in 18:05 for the Finns.
