Boys’ basketball: The standout seniors who showed loyalty
Call it a sign of the times that I have to have to single out a group of high school basketball players for staying all four years with the same team.
It is not the norm.
When a player gets really, really good, that’s when others try to convince them to switch allegiances.
So let’s give a round of applause for top players who decided to stick it out at the same school for four years.
They include Serigne Athj of Birmingham, Lindsey Drew of Fairfax, Sedrick Barefield of Corona Centennial, Max Hazzard of Loyola, Alex Copeland of Harvard-Westlake, Aaron Holiday of Campbell Hall, Stephen Thompson Jr. of Bishop Montgomery, KJ Feagin of Long Beach Poly, Robert Lewis of Compton, Myles Franklin of Hart, Kameron Edwards of Etiwanda, Isaiah Brooks of Westlake, Jason Richardson of Gardena Serra, Nuwr’iyl Williams of Santa Monica, Chimeze Metu of Lawndale, Jeremy Hemsley of Damien and Rogers Printup of Orange Lutheran.
