Man found stabbed to death, woman injured in Baldwin Park incident

A man was stabbed to death and a woman was injured Thursday at a San Gabriel Valley residence, authorities said.

About 5:25 p.m., Baldwin Park police responded to a residence in the 4700 block of Maine Avenue, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.

The 23-year-old man died at the scene, and the woman was hospitalized with moderate stab wounds, L.A. County Fire Department Capt. Matt Boyan told the San Gabriel Valley Tribune.

Homicide detectives from the Sheriff’s Department are investigating the incident.

In the last 12 months, there has been one slaying in Baldwin Park, according to The Times’ Homicide Report database. Five people have died of stab wounds in the city since 2000.
