A 36-year-old middle school teacher was arrested this week in Fullerton on charges of sexually molesting a girl, but police say his alleged crime was not related to his employment.
Christopher Millette was arrested Wednesday on suspicion of lewd and lascivious acts with a child under the age of 14 and sexual penetration of a child under the age of 14.
He is a seventh-grade science teacher at Valdez Middle School in Placentia, according to Fullerton police.
“The victim was known to the suspect, and we do not believe that there are any additional victims related to his employment,” said Fullerton police Sgt. Kathryn Hamel.
Millette was booked into jail on $1-million bail and remained in custody Saturday morning, according to Orange County Sheriff’s Department online records.
Hamel urged anyone with additional information about the crime to contact Fullerton Police Det. Carin Wright at (714) 738-6754.
