A man died Sunday in a single-vehicle traffic accident on an off-ramp of the 91 Freeway in Bellflower, shutting down the exit for several hours, authorities said.
The motorist, approximately 50 years old, was heading westbound on the Lakewood Boulevard off-ramp at around 3:30 a.m. when he lost control of his vehicle, said California Highway Patrol Officer Monica Posada.
The driver's name was not released and Posada had no details on the nature of the accident. The CHP shut down the Lakewood off-ramp for more than three hours.
It reopened at around 7:10 a.m., Posada said.
