Man fatally shot in parking lot of Pomona motel
Pomona police are investigating the fatal shooting of a 48-year-old man in a motel parking lot early Sunday.
Authorities received calls about shots fired at the Pomona Auto Lodge in the 900 block of North Garey Avenue just before 1 a.m., police said.
Responding officers found a man lying on the ground with a gunshot wound in the upper torso, police said. The victim, who has not been identified, was pronounced dead at the scene.
