Officials in San Bernardino County launched a search Wednesday for a woman accused of killing her husband and fleeing with her two young daughters.

Investigators say Leticia Smith, 33, killed her husband, Antione Smith, and fled in a silver Honda Accord, according to a statement released by the Sheriff’s Department.

The body of Antione Smith, 35, was found Tuesday night in a bedroom of his Victorville home, according to the department.

Deputies arrived at the home in the 13700 block of Brynwood Street after co-workers reported that Antione Smith had not shown up to work in several days and friends had not heard from him.

Homicide investigators concluded that he was killed and linked his wife to the alleged crime, sheriff’s officials said.

Leticia Smith is believed to have fled the couple’s home in the 2010 silver Accord with California license plate 7FBT742. She’s also believed to be with her two daughters: Isabel, 8, and Abigail, 4, according to sheriff’s officials.
