Yellow brick road

Capturing a moment in time at the farmers market

Alon Goldsmith is a regular at the Mar Vista Farmers Market, held on the closed-off Grandview Avenue in West Los Angeles.

"I've always been fascinated by the yellow lines on the street that run between the market stalls," the photographer said. "They make me think of the yellow brick road."

Goldsmith has captured hundreds of images of people interacting with the lines in various ways but said he never "quite found what he was looking for."

Last month, however, his daughter happened to jump in perfect alignment. "I got low, tapped out a shot, and finally nailed it."

The photograph was taken with an iPhone 6.
