Highlights from the Angels’ 1-1 draw tie with the Cleveland Indians:

AT THE PLATE: Facing UCLA graduate Trevor Bauer, the Angels struck out seven times in six innings, but produced five singles and two doubles against the 25-year-old right-hander. … The Angels scored against right-hander Jarrett Grube, a former Angel. Rafael Ortega doubled, Todd Cunningham walked and the run scored on an error. … The Angels played to six ties in 29 games during Cactus League play and won 15 games.

ON THE MOUND: In his final spring-training tuneup, right-hander Garrett Richards gave up one run in five innings. He struck out four batters, walked one, and gave up two hits, relying heavily on his fastball-changeup combination. He thought he threw only three sliders out of roughly 70 pitches. Richards’ fastball was clocked at 95-97 mph by a scout. … The Angels paraded in four minor leaguers in relief of Richards: left-hander Jose Molina and right-handers Josh Roenicke, Geoff Broussard and Alan Busenitz. Roenicke’s uncle, Ron, is the Angels’ third base coach.

EXTRA BASES: Left-hander Tyler Skaggs had been scheduled to throw three innings in relief Tuesday. He was scratched because of a fever. The plan is for him to throw a bullpen session over the weekend. Skaggs could still rejoin the Angels rotation before the end of April. … First baseman C.J. Cron was caught stealing for the second time this spring. … Third base prospect Kaleb Cowart made an errant throw on a ground ball hit by Juan Uribe in the seventh inning. ... The Angels were the only team to conclude Cactus League play Tuesday. The other 14 teams will play Wednesday.
