Get ready for lots of close, low-scoring games in the West Valley League when play begins on Wednesday. Let's just say that the pitching will be more than just good.

Taft hosts El Camino Real and Cleveland hosts Granada Hills. The four starting pitchers have been having great seasons.

Taft junior Ryan Shreve will oppose El Camino Real junior Jeremy Polon, a returning All-City pitcher. Cleveland senior Ben Kaser will oppose Granada Hills junior Chris Murphy, a Cal commit who has been clocked throwing in the low 90s.

Every run scored will be worth the price of gold.
