Basketball: Valley Sports Foundation all-star games set for April 9

The Valley Sports Foundation boys and girls all-star basketball games will be held April 9 at L.A. Valley College.

Shacquille Dawkins, the Mission League player of the year from Alemany, will lead the East team in the boys game at 7:30 p.m. Other top East players include Chad Donohoe of Hart, Wolfgang Novogratz of Harvard-Westlake, Sean Fernandez of North Hollywood, Jordan Cohen of Campbell Hall and Chibueze Jacobs of Notre Dame.

Among the West players scheduled to participate are Devearl Ramsey of Sierra Canyon, De’Anthony Melton of Crespi, Ryan Murpy of Calabasas, Max Heidegger of Oaks Christian and Brandon Russell of El Camino Real.

In the girls’ game set for 5:30 p.m., Jordan Brown and Lindsay Tse of Harvard-Westlake lead the East team. Mia Moore of Agoura, Zoe Tinsley of Chaminade and Kari Richardson of El Camino Real are among the players on the West team.

On Wednesday, the Orange County High School All-Star game will be held at Irvine Valley College at 7 p.m.

UC Irvine-bound Eyassu Worku of Los Alamitos is among the players scheduled to participate.
