Football: No surfboards or boogie boards for St. John Bosco trip

Share

The word is when St. John Bosco players leave for Hawaii on Monday, they better not bring surfboards or boogie boards. It’s a buisness trip, with the Braves facing Honolulu St. Louis in their season opener next Friday night.

They’ll be practicing in Honolulu and doing study halls and have scheduled two events prior to the game, a visit to Pearl Harbor on Wednesday and a luau on Thursday.

The game is Friday and they return on Saturday.

Here’s the link to listen to the game on Aug. 22. It will start at 10:30 p.m. Pacific Coast time. Here’s the link for live stream video.

St. John Bosco should be able to score lots of points, but the defense was hit hard by graduation and could have some interesting moments.

Only varsity players are making the trip (very smart move after what happened to Westlake last season on its Hawaii trip).

Temperature for Honolulu is projected to be 88 degrees with a low of 75.

I expect to see Coach Jason Negro wearing an Hawaiian lei around his neck as he yells at one of his players to start tackling better.

Hey, it’s the Hawaiian experience.
