An unfortunate state of college football resides in New Mexico

Share

It’s the biggest weekend of the Bottom Ten season: two battles of the beaten, four resistible forces meeting four movable objects.

It’s the Lost Lobos of New Mexico (0-5) versus New Mexico State (0-4) in one Crummy Game of the Weak regional and wacky Western Kentucky (0-4) versus fumblin’ Florida International (0-4) in another. Check local listings to make sure these games are blacked out in your area.

Meanwhile, No. 5 Brigham Young (1-4), which is leaving the Mountain West Conference because the competition is too stiff, is waiting to move up.

So is Minnehaha (1-4), ranked No. 9 despite losing by just one point last week. Luckily for the Golden Garden Pests, the Bottom Ten’s primitive computers are not yet programmed to take score differentials into consideration.
