Cal, Stanford get easy wins over Washington schools

Tyrone Wallace had 14 points and eight rebounds as California won its fifth in a row and stayed unbeaten in the Pac-12 with an 82-56 victory over Washington on Wednesday night at Berkeley.

The Bears got off to a sluggish start before going on a 20-3 run midway through the first half. C.J. Wilcox scored 18 points for Washington. The Huskies were coming off an emotional win over No. 21 Colorado on Sunday but struggled on both ends of the court and suffered their most lopsided loss of the season.

at Stanford 80, Washington State 48: Josh Huestis and Anthony Brown each scored 15 points and the Cardinal ran away with the victory.

Dwight Powell added 10 points for Stanford, which won its second straight and sixth of eight overall.

Stanford led by as many as 32 points in the second half.
