Update: This is the second of three Major League Soccer games that Chivas USA is playing in eight days, and its second match of the season with San Jose. The Earthquakes won the earlier game, 1-0, on April 26 on a goal by midfielder Yannick Djalo. Chivas USA is coming off a 1-0 victory over Real Salt Lake last Saturday at StubHub Center when forward Erick Torres scored his team-leading 10th goal of the season. Torres also became the all-time leading Mexican-born scorer in MLS history, with 17 career league goals. Chivas USA on Tuesday traded midfielder Carlos Alvarez to the Colorado Rapids for midfielder Nathan Sturgis.
