Where: Providence Park, Portland, Ore.

On the air: TV: NBC Sports Network; Radio: 1150, 1330.

Update: This is the first game of the season between these Western Conference rivals. The Galaxy is coming off a 1-0 loss to Colorado — which broke a four-game undefeated streak — while Portland most recently won its first game of the season, a 3-2 victory over D.C. United. The Galaxy will be without star defender Omar Gonzalez, who hurt his left knee in the Colorado game. Galaxy Coach Bruce Arena said Gonzalez might miss up to two weeks. Galaxy forward Landon Donovan continues to seek one more goal to set the Major League Soccer record of 135 goals.
