Jarrod Dyson has had a lot to say lately.

After Kansas City won a pair of games on the road to take a 2-0 lead in the American League championship series, the Royals speedster was asked whether the best-of-seven series would return to Baltimore.

His answer made headlines: “No sir, I don’t. And I don’t think they think that, either.”

Following Game 3, a 2-1 victory that put the Royals on the verge of fulfilling Dyson’s prediction, he spoke of diving back to third base during the sixth inning, accusing Orioles’ third baseman Ryan Flaherty of intentionally dropping his knee on the play.

“He put the knee down,” Dyson told CBSSports.com after the game. “But I ain’t worried about it.”

According to the CBSSports.com report, other members of the Royals suggested Flaherty was retaliating for Dyson’s earlier remark. Flaherty was unable to be reached for comment after the game.

But Dyson reiterated that he didn’t take offense at the move. He wasn’t injured on the play. In fact, he went on to score the winning run on a sacrifice fly by Billy Butler soon after, putting his team in position to potentially move on to the World Series as early as Wednesday.

“If I’m not hurt, I’m good,” Dyson said. “It’s baseball, it’s all good. I’m not upset. We’re just trying to see them come back tomorrow to get rid of ‘em.”
