Tiger Woods might be stuck in a major drought -- winless in golf’s biggest tournaments since 2008 -- but you can bet he’s crying all the way to the bank.

The world’s top-ranked golfer earned more than $83 million last season, raising his career total to an unprecedented $1.3 billion, according to an article in Golf Digest.

His 2013 paycheck included a reported $12 million in money from playing and $71 million in off-the-course earnings. Next year’s haul could take a hit after Woods ended a lucrative video-game contract with EA Sports.

Woods remains stalled at 14 majors, four back from Jack Nicklaus’ record.

On the “Golf Digest 50” list for 2013, he is followed by Phil Mickelson ($52 million), Arnold Palmer ($40 million) and Jack Nicklaus ($26 million). Palmer and Nicklaus continue to make good on their historic careers with licensing deals, course designing and other golf-related income.

Henrik Stenson, who had a breakthrough season, finished fifth with $21.4 million.
