USC football: Experienced Chase Rettig leads Boston College

USC will face an experienced quarterback Saturday when the Trojans play Boston College at the Coliseum.

Chase Rettig, a senior who played at Pasadena La Salle and San Clemente highs, has started the last 34 games for the Eagles.

The 6-foot-3, 206-pound Rettig completed 23 of 30 passes for 285 yards and two touchdowns in the Eagles’ 24-14 season-opening victory over Villanova.

Last week, he completed seven of 14 passes for 123 yards and a touchdown, with one interception, in Boston College’s 24-10 victory over Wake Forest that helped the Eagles equal their victory total from 2012.

Senior Alex Amidon has been Rettig’s favorite target. The senior has 18 receptions for 239 yards and two touchdowns.

Andre Williams has 318 yards rushing and two touchdowns.
