USC football: Tre Madden returns and rushes for 60 yards
After sitting out against Notre Dame because of a hamstring injury, USC tailback Tre Madden rushed for 60 yards in 12 carries in the Trojans’ 19-3 victory over Utah on Saturday.
Madden was injured Oct. 10 against Arizona.
“I had never dealt with this kind of injury before last week,” Madden said. “I thought I would just push through it, but it wasn’t happening.
“This week I was 85% to 90% in practice and gave it a shot.”
Senior Silas Redd started against Utah but was held to zero yards in 10 carries.
Madden continues to lead the Trojans in rushing with 671 yards. He has rushed for three touchdowns and caught four touchdown passes.
