Another amazing ceremonial first pitch from South Korea

Share

It appears that the South Korean baseball league is garnering quite a reputation for its spectacular ceremonial first pitches.

Korean actress and martial artist Tae Mi had the honor of throwing out the first pitch before Saturday’s game between the Doosan Bears and SK Wyverns, and she didn’t disappoint.

Not to be outdone by a rhythmic gymnast who wowed crowds at a Bears game earlier this summer, Tae Mi put together a head-over-heels throw that could very well be the most acrobatic throw in baseball history.

As amazing as the throw was, it appears many of the players watching in the dugout weren’t too impressed with the display -- perhaps they’re just a little jealous.

Still, I’m not sure it’s the best first pitch to come out of South Korea this year. This throw by rhythmic gymnast Shin Soo-ji in July is pretty amazing too:
