Watch Galaxy’s Brian Rowe appear in his first PSA for H2Love

Here’s how you know you’ve made it in Major League Soccer: Someone asks you to do a commercial with a cheeky soccer-related tie-in.

Landon Donovan became Hat Trick Rick’s playmaker in an ad for a bank. Clint Dempsey’s free kick sent up a sports car for a score on an open net. And nobody bent ears like former Galaxy midfielder David Beckham, who has hawked everything from burgers and soft drinks to underwear and cellphones.

Now comes Brian Rowe, the Galaxy’s starting goalkeeper. Rowe goes into the weekend ranked fourth in the league in saves, which inspired the Metropolitan Water District of Southern California to feature him in a public service announcement about water conversation.

The PSA, which begins running Friday, features video of Rowe’s top five saves of the season followed by a pitch from Rowe to save water (get it?)
