End-of-spring receivers depth chart for the USC football team:

Starters: Junior Darreus Rogers, third-year sophomore Steven Mitchell and sophomore JuJu Smith

Backups: Sophomore Ajene Harris or Adoree’ Jackson, fourth-year junior Isaac Whitney and fourth-year junior walk-on Robby Kolanz.

Incoming: Junior De’Quan Hampton

Review: Mitchell was a top performer. He caught multiple passes from the slot and made defenders miss on catch-and-run plays.

Mitchell has “a chance to become a really special player,” Coach Steve Sarkisian said.

Quarterback Cody Kessler relied on Smith as a go-to receiver.

Rogers made numerous difficult catches in the end zone.

Jackson split time between offense and defense and made plays nearly every time he touched the ball.

Whitney, a transfer from Riverside City College, improved in the final weeks. Harris had a quiet spring.

Hampton, a transfer from Long Beach City College, will join the team in training camp.
