USC has made multiple offers and is expected to sign four defensive backs in the 2016 recruiting class, but none have committed.
Gardena Serra High safety C.J. Pollard, the son of former Trojans cornerback Marvin Pollard, has narrowed his list of offers.
"My top six are Michigan, USC, Notre Dame, Oregon, Utah and Arizona State in no particular order," C.J. Pollard said, adding that he would announce his commitment during The Opening at Nike World Headquarters in July.
USC offered Elk Grove Franklin safety Lamar Jackson in April and he made an unofficial visit to campus.
Jackson said he would trim his list of offers "soon."
USC also is recruiting safeties Byron Murphy from Scottsdale (Ariz.) Saguaro, Deontay Anderson from Manvel (Texas) and Jordan Parker from Pittsburg, though Parker has committed to UCLA.
Los Angeles Loyola cornerback David Long was offered earlier this month.
"It's a big deal for me," Long said. "I know a lot of the players on board. I'm comfortable with the staff and the school is 10 minutes from Loyola."
Long has more than 20 offers but has not listed favorites. He said he could make a commitment this summer, but would likely wait until the fall.
USC assistants traveled to Madison (Miss.) Germantown High in April to evaluate cornerback Nigel Knott, who received an offer in February.
Jack Jones, from Long Beach Poly, is being recruited as a cornerback and receiver. Jones once released a list of top schools, but has since said he was considering all of his offers.
