USC legends Marcus Allen and Rodney Peete stood through the pregame rain on Saturday to watch Boston College upset the Trojans, 37-31, at Boston College’s Alumni Stadium.

On Monday, a dried-out Peete appeared on ESPN’s SportsNation.

“It wasn’t a good weekend,” said Peete, the Johnny Unitas Award winner as college football’s top senior quarterback in 1988.

USC jumped out to a 10-6 lead before Boston College scored 24-unanswered points.

“It was the tale of two halves,” he said.

And it was the tale of a big running game for Boston College, which rushed for 452 yards.

“I think it was because I was standing on the sideline with Marcus Allen,” Peete joked.

Actor and USC alum Will Ferrell joined Allen and Peete on the sideline.
