USC’s tight ends, where do they fit into the offense?

During his tenure at Washington, Steve Sarkisian committed to utilizing running back Bishop Sankey and tight end Austin Seferian-Jenkins.

Sarkisian remains committed to the running game at USC.

But what about tight ends as pass-receiving threats?

Last season, Seferian-Jenkins won the Mackey Award as college football’s top tight end.

He caught 10 passes for 91 yards and two touchdowns in his first three games and finished with 36 catches for 450 yards and eight touchdowns.

The numbers for USC’s tight ends don’t compare.

Through three games, Randall Telfer and Bryce Dixon have combined for four receptions for 82 yards and a touchdown.

Telfer, a fifth-year senior, caught his first two passes of the season at Boston College.
