Pepperdine reaches super regional, Fullerton out

Bryan Langlois hit a go-ahead bases-loaded triple in the ninth inning and Pepperdine advanced to the super regionals with a 10-6 victory over host Cal Poly in the San Luis Obispo Regional on Sunday. The Waves (42-16) got past the regional round for the first time since winning the College World Series title in 1992. The Mustangs (47-12) had come all the way back from a 5-0 deficit to tie it at 6 with a two-run rally in the bottom of the eighth. Left-hander Taylor Chris took the loss after mostly handcuffing Pepperdine through a season-high 61/3 innings in relief of starter Danny Zandona.
