A lot of people wrote off the Carolina Panthers last summer when star receiver Kelvin Benjamin was sidelined because of a knee injury.

Now, the Panthers are in Super Bowl 50 against the Denver Broncos after winning all but one regular-season game and carving their way through the playoffs with convincing victories over the Seattle Seahawks and Arizona Cardinals.

Richard Rodgers, a Panthers assistant coach, knows something about shocking the world after being written off.
