Depth has been a major reason the Ducks have the most points in the NHL, but as the playoffs near the emphasis has shifted to a tighter, tougher, more talented roster. Ducks General Manager Bob Murray thinned the forward ranks Tuesday by trading Dustin Penner to the Washington Capitals for a fourth-round pick, and sent that pick to Dallas for defenseman Stephane Robidas.
