Las Vegas: Darius Rucker tickets go on sale Friday morning

Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday (today) for singer Darius Rucker’s October concert at the Red Rock Resort.

Rucker has made a splash in country music since his days as the lead singer of pop band Hootie & the Blowfish.

In 2008, Rucker’s single, “Don’t Think I Don’t Think About It” soared to the top of the country charts, making him the first African American with a   No. 1 country song since Charley Pride in 1983. His latest album, last year’s “True Believers,” reached No. 1 on Billboard’s top country albums list.

Rucker’s Vegas show on Oct. 11 will begin at 8 p.m., poolside at the Red Rock’s Sandbar concert venue.

Tickets cost $49 and $89. They will be available online or by calling (800) 745-3000.

Guests younger than 21 must be accompanied by an adult.
